We bought this for when we go camping. Our son took it camping just recently and it charged his phone 3 times without the sun having to recharge it. He was very surprised how well it worked!
Ive been looking for a wireless power bank for a long time since I bought a smart phone with wireless charge function. With recommendation from my friend I ordered this product. Gotta say its remarkable and awesomeyou can charge your phone by putting on it. Let alone there is a flashlight and solar panel on its surface. It can charge itself with very limited light. This function saves me from the problem of forgetting to charge it after use.
If you are planning to go camping and have this fully charge from a hike, or leave it in a sunny part of you car to charge while you are away, bad purchase. I charge it while charging my phone at the same time and then take it with me for that needed charge away from outlets and works pretty well. I can charge a full tablet and my iPhone on one charge. It deserves 4 stars for a battery back, but I gave it three because it is marketed as a solar charger.
I had high hopes for this item. The first one I got, I tried charging it using sunlight. It was at 25% charge and I let it sit in direct sunlight for a week. This power bank has four dots to indicate 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% charge. After a week of sitting in direct sunlight, the charge indicator hadn't moved from 25%!! I contacted the seller and they were quick to send a replacement. The replacement showed the same behavior. I let it sit in direct sunlight for over a week now and the charge indicator still hasn't moved. Now I understand that the solar charging is meant for emergency, but I can't imagine how many weeks I'd be stranded with this product for it to actually charge via sunlight. As a bank (charge from wall outlet), it works as expected.
The Internal Battery of the charger was damaged. The Lithium Ion battery was inflated and it caused the solar panel and unit to bulge. An inflated battery is a sign that it's unstable and the unit is dangerous, battery could potentially explode or catch fire. I've contacted the seller via email and they did not respond. Buyer Beware. EDIT: The while the unit was damaged, the company's customer service is definitely something admirable and rare. Though the unit was faulty, their company's customer service made up for it which I think is as important as the product they deliver/standby.
