This thing is awesome. I read enough reviews to take a chance on buying this and I’m glad I did. It’s not uncommon for me to put a lot of miles on a bike and did a 10-State trip recently. Factory seats are usually decent for 100-200 miles, but I’ve found that “iron-butt” kicks in soon after.
Being a tall guy with a "bony tailbone", I've gone through 4-5 seats trying to find one that makes riding for more than an hour or two more about the ride, than how sore my a$$ is getting (lol). Second to this seat is the "MadD.g" seat-pad, which is also a really nice pad, & allowed me 2-3 hr rides, but still didn't have the amount of padding I was looking for. Between being a blood-clot survivor (which pertains to this review) & having a bony tailbone, this pad not only provides me with an adjustable level of comfort (that I can adjust on the fly, via the little pump they give you with the seat), but there is a CONSIDERABLE difference in how cool my a$$ stays while riding my little, air-cooled engine for hours. Between my exhaust wrap & this seat, I no longer feel any warmth from my engine / exhaust!
This seat cushion pad made a huge difference when riding for long distances. I rode from TX to TN (800 miles) in one day with no problems. I took it off the next day for local riding (315 miles) and regretted my decision. I even have a Corbin seat on my Valkyrie. Definitely worth the money I paid.
I am pleasantly surprised, it looks pretty well made and comfy enough during my test run which consisted of sitting on it for several minutes after it was installed on the bike. Pros: - Seemingly well made - Very easy to inflate with the hand pump and it has a one way valve which allows you to stop and close the metal valve on the cushion by turning it clockwise without losing air - Bang for buck (hopefully it won't go "bang" once I place my big, fat behind on it)
If you ride long distances with a bike not necessarily meant for such, this is all you will ever need to smooth your ride. It added hours of saddle time without noticing. I rarely get excited, but now I am; this is a great buy, even if it would only last for a few rides, which I believe is not the case; it looks and feel sturdy and I believe I will get many rides out of it.
