I love this thing, its simple and easy to use. The squeeze primer is so much better than starting the suction yourself. It works great for for both my ten gallon tanks and my 2 gallon. plus the the net attachment on the end is nice as it keeps my White Clouds from getting ****** in (they're weirdos and like the suction for some reason, haha).
Over the years, I've had many different aquariums: everything from 50 gallons to 1 gallon. I currently have a 5 gallon tank with one Betta. It's in a very tight space, and the vacuums I already owned were just too large/long to maneuver. They also did not have a siphon and I've never been able to make one work the way it's supposed to, I end up ******* on the hose (blech). I have never even seen one like this available locally. This vac works exactly as they say it does. It's perfect for my small tank, and best of all, no more ******* fish water into my mouth - lol
I use this to clean our turtle aquarium ever few weeks. We have a 55 gallon aquarium and sometimes the bottom gets a lot of food debris and turtle ****. I put a large drywall bucket on top of a stool to raise it up because the tube isn't really long. A few squeezes usually gets the suction going and it can drain out the tank pretty quickly. I make sure I keep it at the bottom so it sucks all the debris into the bucket that was on the bottom. Does a great job.
My 12 yrs old son wanted a fish tank so we got him 2.5 gallon tank with a Betta fish. My son did all the necessary research himself to find out how to maintain and keep the fish healthy so he purchased this gravel cleaner tube and he uses this during his weekly water change. WHAT I LIKE: [+} It's simple yet effective in what it does. Simply squeeze the bulb to drain water out. [+] Very long tube that is flexible for easy handling yet end part is stiff like a stick for easy grip. [+] The end nozzle is like a net so that it prevents gravels or any other objects, such as fish or plant, getting ****** in by accident. [+] Price
Works like a dream! Glad I don’t have to do the ole’ **** and spew method anymore!!! Now if my dryer would just fold the laundry I’d be in hogs heaven
